We had a fantastic Mothers Day weekend. My parents flew out from Oregon for a few days of museums, zoos and parks with their grandkids. On Mothers Day, I cooked a delicious brunch of waffles with berries and whipped cream, bacon and eggs, and then we went to see the
Dinosaurs Alive! exhibit at the Brookfield Zoo. Other weekend highlights included a ride on the massive
Navy Pier ferris wheel (turns out I am still afraid of heights), a visit to the Museum of Contemporary Art for the
Buckminster Fuller exhibition, and a trip to the
Morton Arboretum to see 4,000 species of plants in all their springtime glory.
